Yeah 7.5's don't handle a lot of power ... especially once you start locking both wheels and giving her all hades. So 8.8 at the minimum with either a welded diff, spool, or LSD if you want to go that route. Personally I'd go with a 9 inch and a locker and never have to worry about it again! hehehe.

lol yea but the 7.5s are funny, they came in the svos and the 85 and i think some 86 gts? but they definitely are a weak point not to be dealt with.the guy that had the car before me did put 4.10s in the rear end which came with 3.45s so i am gonna weld it anyway and go till it breaks but in the mean time im gonna save to get an 8.8, 9 is a little too beefy for me. there are some pretty decent 8.8s already for sale for around 500 with lsd, 31 spline differntial and moser 31 spline axles. They arent too bad you just gotta know where to look corral.net is a hotspot and there are quite a few others.

lol by time i paid for gas down there and back and to get it welded it would be 75 at least. Im gonna try and find someone around here first, but ill keep that in mind!
